Out of World War II and into the Gulf War, here's one of my modern jet models. I do more World War II stuff, I know. The A-10 is one of my favorite planes, simply because of the badass factor. In World War II they realized that the best type of ground attack aircraft was slow, heavily armoured, and could carry a lot of ordnance. The A-10 is a true symbol of that philosophy.
The loadout on my A-10 consists of five standard bombs, six Maverick anti-tank missiles, and two Napalm bombs. The long white thing mounted on the port wing is an Electronic Countermeasures (ECM) device. The A-10 is also carrying a large external fuel tank. Revel Monogram 1:32 scale. The entire model is about 13" long with a 15" wingspan. |
